I cannot believe that my little girl is two years old already! I have no idea where the time has gone to! I had her and the next thing I knew it was her first birthday, and even faster than that her 2nd birthday has come and gone! Before I know it I’m going to be sending her off to college!
She had a great day! We LOVE birthday’s in our family, and so we make each one as special as we can! We have come to realize that each year you get to spend with the people you love is a blessing.
John and I woke up on her birthday at 4am to a sick dog that had pooped all over the house. We clean and I shampooed the carpets, and before we knew it we had breakfast made, and it was 6am.
We decided we couldn’t wait any longer to surprise her so we went and woke her up to a bunch of balloons! She wasn’t happy at all!
After we sang to her and she realized what was happening she was super excited!
She didn’t want to let them go. She ate with them, and took them with her everywhere she went!
This is the self portrait she took!
She even got a special ‘Birthday Girl’ shirt that she wore all day!
When it came time to blow out her candles she was more worried about getting a handful of icing to taste than to blow out her candles! It was so funny! John wound up ‘helping’ her blow them out!
This is all of her birthday presents from everyone! She made out like a bandit! She has played and played, and played with all of her toys! The blanket in the picture is the baby blanket that I was making her when Sage died. All I had to do was finish a few ties, and bind it. It sat on the frames for over a year and half before I could finish tying it. It was another 6 months before I could bring myself to bind it. The night before her birthday I finished it. I decided that she is old enough to have it now. A blanket made from mom.
She didn’t want her picture taken because she wanted to play! We let her stay up till almost 10pm playing! She was so tired!
This is right before we put her to sleep!
She had such a great birthday! I am so blessed to have this little girl in my life, and that I get to be her Momma! I love you, Izzy!

I love the faces that girl pulls! They're hilarious & priceless!
She totally made out like a bandit! She's 2 now, right? It always amazes me how quickly the year goes by. I can't believe my Sam is 8! Seriously? When did that happen?
Her cake is super cute too. Did you make it?
Looks like everyone had fun (well, except for dog poop at 4 am!)
No I wish I made her cake, but I'm not that talented in cake making. We had a cat in the hat b-day party planned and I was going to make this awesome cake. It was all planned out then 2 weeks before the party she stopped the cat in the hat high she was on and it was Micky Mouse.... so she got tinker bell instead
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this girl! When I got to the house for her part I opened the sliding glass door and she was staning in the farthest part of the yard. I yelled, "IZZY-BELLE! Happy Birthday!" She spotted grandma, through her arms in the air and ran straight for me, threw her arms around my neck and squeezed so tight! I LOVED it! She was a delight to watch open her gifts. Each one she got so excited! She had to run and show everybody what she got...ezpecially Aunt Crystal!
